He beamed. "Oh he'd like that!"
The Doctor dashed out of the house before Agasa could even think about asking him where he was going, running right down the street in the vague direction of the TARDIS and the detective agency.
Halfway there he paused, an odd feeling hitting him.
Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding
After a moment it passed and, unable to figure out what it was, the Doctor shrugged it off and hurried the rest of the way. The TARDIS wasn't humming like she was alarmed, so it must've been nothing.
Rubbing his hands together, he found his stash of apple grass, which was to NEVER be smoked because the smell was horrendous and the smoke was probably lethal to some non-Time Lord beings (he ought to try it on a Dalek if he ever got the chance, which his sincerely hoped he never did), and got into the kitchen. "All right, beauty, let's see if I can keep from blowing something up, eh?"
After a moment there was a distant sound like laughter from the TARDIS.
The Doctor chuckled with her. "You're right, where's the fun in that?" Decided, he put on his glass dramatically and pulled out his sonic screwdriver.

Chase looked up from blankly staring at his unfinished homework, pulling his cellphone out of his pocket.
He stared at it a moment. This mobile thing was new to him. His uncle had gotten it for him within a month of his arrival. Something about it being several years ahead of its time. Chase didn't really care, he never had anyone to call.
Except his mum, of course. Raising an eyebrow, he finally answered. "Hello?" Better than finishing homework, anyway.

Chase wrinkled his nose. "Tell Father that convincing Uncle Saxon to go anywhere he doesn't feel worth going has always been impossible and it would be much better for his sanity if he stops trying now. Believe me, I've seen it. Uncle Saxon is still a pain in the ass, even after I'm born."
Walking past the door way, the Time Lord in question stopped and glared. Moving over, he plucked the cell phone from his wanna-be nephew's hand and held it to his ear. "And you can tell your fool of a lover that if he even thinks I'm going to spend a stupid human holiday domesticating with someone other than my wife, he's insane. Then again, he's always been that, so just don't tell him anything. Let him wonder." With that said, he returned the phone to Chase and walked off.
"See?" He said. "Maybe if he had a reason to go, like, I dunno, maybe humiliating Father in front of the entire group, then he probably would, but I can't see how you'd allow that." Chase deadpanned, trying not to smile hard enough for her to hear.

Chase hung up, smirking wickedly. "UNCLE SAXON! Father's going to crash your personal party here tomorrow if you don't come to the gathering todaaaaay!"
There was a curse and the sound of something exploding from the other room. The young Time Lord was grinning. That was easy.
Inside the TARDIS there was a thick black smoke pouring into the console room and out the open door into the alleyway. It was enough to nearly conquer even the Doctor's respiratory system.
Coughing, he stumbled out into the open air, holding a box just under the smoke. Still, he was grinning madly.

Rose got ready quickly and inspected her appearance through a mirror, once satisfied she went to sit back down and wait for the Doctor.
Aoko was happily cooking various dishes and it was no question, she had definitely made -way- too much food, but she enjoyed cooking, even if Keiko was half-complaining the whole time that they should just go shopping and get a caterer.

The Doctor somehow managed to get most of the soot off and the TARDIS fairly aired out (enough to close and lock the door) before he left to pick Rose up.
Though he did miss a spot on his nose.
Opening the door, he just shouted into the house. They had to be used to him by now, anyway. "Time to go, Rose!" He chirped, balancing the box on his fingertips. "Before we're late! Got a long trip, you know."

He blinked. "I have...?"
He went to wipe his nose but stopped, freezing as his ears once more picked up the sound of bells.
Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding
He looked around, confused. "What is that?" He'd even heard them in the TARDIS, which was rare. It didn't sound like the bells were very big, so they'd have to be close to penetrate the walls of his ship, but he hadn't seen any, and the sound didn't waver in itch, even here when he was farther away from the TARDIS.
